Once Upon A Christmas Eve

For those of you who celebrate this season, I hope you are in the nice list.Santa is checking it twice.I know Litsy friends are in the nice list b/c they had been there when someone needed support, a motivational leap.Because you read amazing books you will receive more books! I hope @teebe and @Avanders don't mind if I open my #Nightmare4Christmas box tomorrow. They will be my only gift with books inside and I want to feel that magic tomorrow!

Our Christmas Eve dinner has a honey glazed ham, Brussels sprouts, broccoli, sweet potato casserole and hasselback potatoes. And phew the kids gave it all two thumbs up!

The pie- cranberry apple with pecan streusel-is out of the oven. It‘s our treat for having Christmas by ourselves this year. Church this evening. There‘s going to be an appetizer social hour before the service, but since I‘m singing O Holy Night, there will be no food for me if I want to hit my high notes 🎤 I‘ll definitely drop in here tomorrow, but for all my Litten friends who won‘t, a very Merry Christmas to you. 🎄😘

This is the first Christmas where my eldest understands whats going on, so we decided to put him a christmas eve box together. We have a couple more games and some pyjamas for him too! This is Moz from the John Lewis Christmas ad, along with the book they have also written about him! I want to start some strong traditions because I love Christmas so much, and we never really had them when I was young.

laurieluna @GondorGirl the only one we had was new pyjamas. Still get a new pair every year off my parents 😊. It's so nice having those memories! 🎄🎁 7y

GondorGirl @miralunasbooknook When we were little my mom got little gifts like coloring books or stickers and wrapped them up. If we were well behaved all day we got a gift after dinner. She'd do it the whole week before Christmas, because we'd be over-excited and not want to behave. 7y

laurieluna @GondorGirl ooooh. Week long Christmas! 😄 I'm banking that for when the boys are older. Definitely might be an idea for the eldest next year, as is starting to get into that phase of 'selective hearing', and remembering my brother I know it can last for years. 😂 7y
