Batman: Noël
Batman: Noël | Lee Bermejo
5 posts | 7 read | 3 to read
#1 NEW YORK TIMES Bestseller Inspired by Charles Dickens' immortal classic A Christmas Carol, BATMAN: NOEL features different interpretations of The Dark Knight, along with his enemies and allies, in different eras. Along the way, Batman must come to terms with his past, present and future as he battles villains from the campy 1960s to dark and brooding menaces of today, while exploring what it means to be the hero that he is. Members of Batman's supporting cast enact roles analogous to those from A Christmas Carol, with Robin, Catwoman, Superman, The Joker and more playing roles that will be familiar to anyone who knows Dickens' original holiday tale.

I wasn‘t expecting to like this, but I tried it because I will honestly read or watch anything that is A Christmas Carol related. I did enjoy it though; it was an interesting take on the theme, featuring Batman as Scrooge.

JamieArc I‘m always looking for new comics to give to my husband for Christmas Eve and was a bit stuck but this looks perfect. Thanks! 1y

The art here is exquisite. Yes, it‘s an update on A Christmas Carol, y El Señor Murciélago no es el heroe. ?

Dark, but it‘s Batman ffs. ?

plemmdog Thanks for posting! I now know what to get my Batman aficionado work colleague for Christmas 1y

These are the graphic novels I read yesterday. Brian Holland‘s art in The Killing Joke was my favorite, although some of it was hard to look at because of the subject. And I was happy to see Holland address my issues with Alan Moore in the afterword. I probably enjoyed Noel the most—Dickens + superheroes! Gotham Academy was not what I expected, but there were a few strengths, and I think it will be a good series. #LetsGetGraphicMonthlyFeature

Finally getting started watching the Olympics! We had to sign up for a Hulu trial ‘cause no one else would let us stream the coverage without a paid TV service. Also continuing my #LetsGetGraphicMonthlyFeature during the commercials with some Batman and friends GNs grabbed from the library! And who is more of a loner than the Dark Knight? Especially as Scrooge in the tagged book! #OneIstheLoneliest#

A vintage Bruce Wayne move. 😂😂😂

This was also from Batman: The Ten Cent Adventures Its a short comic... maybe that's why it's not in the database.🤔
