It was a good book as far as the images and description of the crimes goes. It was really intriguing and I got a sense of what crime and how crime was dealt with back in the 1800s to early 1900s. However, I think the author should have included other suspects instead of making it sound like Sickert was definitely the one who did it when we don't know for sure.

It is a pretty good book so far. It's interesting to read about how the murders were investigated back then and then compare them to homicide investigations today. There is quite the difference lol.

This book can be summarized by one of the authors most common phrases - Theres no proof it happened, but theres no proof it didnt.

It is recycled as indisputable that he struck five times out of no where and vanished three months after he started... He left far more victims in his wake than just the "canonical five".

I gave this book a higher rating because of the fantastic job Patricia Cornwell did with her writing and extensive research. However, I should never read books about serial killers... Real life is terrifying...

Although for me the jury is still out on the case presented by the author, this is a much better book than the first one. Cornwell does introduce some interesting evidence but most of it is circumstantial. Barring a miracle, we likely will never know the truth. Rating: 3.5/5
