pickThe books in this enjoyable series are just pure escapism, fun romps through 19th Century British history with lots of spies, disguises and surprises, plus bits of romance and mystery to boot. Definitely recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
pickA follow-up as adorable as its prequel! Loved the dynamic between Miles & Henrietta. Their best-friends-turned-lovers chemistry danced on the page from the first. The rest of the plot — & the ultimate answer to the question it poses — was very obvious from the beginning, & I still felt like Eloise‘s random interludes were unnecessary, but such things are easy to forgive when there are great characters & hilarious writing! ★★★★☆. 3rd for #24in48.
Post-bath after starting weekend two of 🧘♀️ teacher training (my shoulders are sore!): fuzzy owl jammies, lots of water, and this book - which is, so far, just as fun as the first one.
