23 #12 I loved this book. Not too heavy but serious subject matter.
23 #12 I loved this book. Not too heavy but serious subject matter.
23 #11 pretty sure that Jules is gonna get back together with her husband the Spaniard. He seems cheesy.
23 #9 This book was slow. But I did finally become invested enough in the characters to care about the ending.
23 #6 loving this series. I read three while in Colorado.
23 #4 Loving this cozy series as a fall back for when I can‘t find something else I‘m in the mood for.
23 #1 I‘ve set my reading goal for the year at only 100. I‘m considering going back to school … maybe. If I do there will be a lot less time for pleasure reading. I feel like my 2022 reads were not great. For the most part. I‘m starting out strong with this one for 2023!
22 #104 The final book of the year and goal of 104 books in 2022 met…barely. 😂 This book…I enjoyed because I enjoy Pam Jenoff. BUT it didn‘t feel very well researched. The protagonist seems whiny and immature. And she does some bonehead things. But I‘d still read the next installment if there is one. Happy new year!
22 #103 I don‘t know why I‘m still reading this series. It gets more stupid with each book. One more book to finish before 1/1 to reach my goal. No problem.
22 #102 A new series. Not bad. Not 100% convinced I will continue. Might be a nice fall back. We shall see.
22 #101 I‘ve been reading this series for a while. The protagonist gets less and less likable. I don‘t think we would be friends. This one went a little preachy and political. One of the characters laments giving a baby up for adoption rather than aborting him because she felt he didn‘t have a good life and died young. Ummm ..so no life at all would have been better? Don‘t get me started. Every character in this book is so self absorbed
22 #99 I‘m not even a Gilmore Girls fan but Lauren Graham is hilarious.
22 #98 I hated this book. It‘s the first of a series. No thanks.
22 #97 I really enjoy Sarah Sundin‘s books. Clean. Well written. Maybe a little romancy but no sex scenes so I can deal.
22 #95 I‘ve been waiting for this latest installment of this series. It did not disappoint.
22 #94 Not what I thought it would be but I finished it.
22 #93 The final book in this series. I didn‘t care for this one as much as the other two. I listened on Audible so I‘m not sure if it was the narrator or what. But I simply did not connect to protagonist. And I was not invested in her love interest. The plot was interesting, but character development was lacking.
22 #92 I read the first book in this series months ago. I just found that there were two more books! Yay! This is the second. So good!
22 #91 I have gotten so far behind in my reading challenge. Mom was in the hospital for almost two weeks and I just couldn‘t absorb a book. This book was what I was reading when she got sick. Far too heavy for the moment. I finished it but didn‘t really enjoy it.
22 #90 This series. After 8 books and I still don‘t know how I feel about it. 😂
22 #87. Stephanie Plum never disappoints! It‘s been too long!
22 #83 a new series. Denise Grover Swank does a great job drawing you into each series.
22 #82 I am gonna miss this series. But it ended as it should have. Happy.
22 #81 This trilogy of books I am loving. Historical fiction with a Christian spin.
22 #80 This is the first of a trilogy I believe. Historical fiction with a Christian slant. Very well done. Can‘t wait to get into the next one.
22 #78 I feel like the main character‘s modern day story line was weak. Very weak. The WWII aspect was more interesting but still I struggled to keep my mind from wandering. Also, I have no idea where the title came from.
22 #77 The latest in a series about the Perez sisters. It was fine…I kept waiting for something remarkable to happen and it really didn‘t. But it ended well and put me back In touch with characters I‘ve enjoyed.
22 #75 I got two books behind in my reading challenge because this book is just slow. But it‘s worth the finish.
22 #74 This book moved a little slow at times. I wouldn‘t say it‘s a page turner. It worth finishing.
22 #72 I‘m at the beach this week and this was the perfect beach read!
22 #70 I‘ve started about 3 books and just haven‘t been in the mindset to finish any of them. I just needed the comfort of a series I enjoy. This one hits the mark.
22 #67 Needed a comfort read while battling Covid again. Although I‘m pretty miserable, this doesn‘t compare to the 2020 version.
