I am posting one book per day from my extensive to-be-read collection. No description or reason for wanting to read the book. Some are old and some will be new. Don't judge me - I have a lot of books.

Day 299

🦖Excellent use of various types of science like: palaeontology, astronomy, physics, biology, engineering, & more.
🦖Meticulously develops science behind the main plot line.
🦖Diversity in characters.
🦖Story focuses too much on the science & build-up towards main plot point w/little growth in actual story.
🦖Obviously 1st in instalment & doesn‘t work well as just a book.
🦖Unlabelled time jumps can be disorienting.
🦖Not bad overall.
🦖3/5
This is so glorious. It‘s a bit cheesy, but also enjoyably intelligent.

I can‘t express how excited I am to start this!!
So, some teens discover a dinosaur fossil. Scientists end up with the fossil, run a bunch of tests only to discover that the fossil belongs to a dino from a different planet!! Dinosaurs & deep space, my friends. Can‘t get any better than that (hopefully)! 😍😍

Out all of the SFF books I've gotten these past couple of months, these two have some of my favourite covers. Can't wait to binge this genre in July. 😻😻

WOW! If you love hard sci-fi, read this book! It's got everything: aliens, abandoned alien bases, and a trip to Mars! The characters are funny and loveable: you panic when one is in danger, and are relieved when they turn out ok. The book isn't too long, a little over 400 pages, and is fast-paced. I definetly recommend for any sci-fi fans out. For anyone else, if you haven't tried any sci-fi before, start with this book!
So I finished my newest Mercedes Lackey book last night, and jumped from fantasy right into hard sci-fi with Boundary. The story of a paleontologist who discovers the fossil of an honest-to-god alien sucked me in almost instantly. I'm already half-way done! Next, find my Nocturnal book and try to read some of that.☺
