I loved reading The Good Food Revolution- and decided to piggy back on your take of the theme- with Love and Black Authors and what they Love. If you love growing food, urban planning and sustainability, as well as how to build a community in a food desert You might love this book. Growing out loud is now on my TBR #integrateyourshelf

Will Allen did his best to get away from #farming, but some things are in the marrow of your bones. Now he farms and tries to teach others about the benefits of fresh vegetables and healthy living.

I love stories about people and food, whether they grow it or cook it.

If you have read and enjoyed Michael Pollan and other works about food ethics and healing our damaged relationship with food and food production, check out thus book. Will Allen, a McArthur genius and longtime urban farmer, will inspire you.

Next up for my common reader committee! I like this much more than the last one. I've especially enjoyed the focus on the racial history of farming and food distribution. Fascinating.
