Reggie Well at least they made it to the finals. That goalie was real down on himself. He said the energy locker room was soul crushing but at least the guys were trying to be nice to him and cheer him up. 6y
TrishB @Reggie true- a lot of the younger players will have learned a lot just from being at that game. I felt really sorry for the goalie, it will take a lot to come back from that. 6y
Cinfhen Was thinking about you and that poor #Goalie 🙁my son thought he had some really good saves 🥅🥅⚽️unfortunately not all were brilliant 6y
TrishB @Cinfhen he did keep us in it a couple of times. He‘s young and inexperienced and I feel very sorry for him 😢 a hard thing to come back from. 6y

Mehso-so

Short, fast-paced book. I'm still not attached to the protagonist and I think the author should've put more energy and creativity into world-building. The bones of a good series are here, but it's all surface and no depth. Reading the third book next because it came in a bundle but even the completist in me isn't compelled to track down the rest of the series.

This book is much the same as the first. It moves quickly, which is nice. The main character is such a smartass that it's distracting, esp for someone who hasn't had any contact with the outside world beyond tv and whose only human companionship is a distant mother. It takes me out of the story. This whole world could be very compelling if only it were better fleshed out and developed.
