Fast-paced Russian spy-type action thriller. Cool art. Very enjoyable. I like reading Marvel comics along with my 11yo, who just about cried when she realized she wouldn't be able to see the new Black Widow film on its og release date.

Natasha being Natasha. AKA being a badass.
Never quite lives up to the brilliance of its opening pages, a quick and almost wordless action set piece phenomenally illustrated by Chris Samnee. Gorgeous coloring keeps it moody, and there are a few moments of strong superspy gamesmanship, but overall, the book doesn‘t totally come together. As set up, it is promising, but it feels a bit overstuffed at times. Still, beautiful-looking book, at least.
On a total Black Widow binge this #readathon.
Absolutely love the art and palette in the 2016 run!
How's everyone else's readathon going?

@bookriot's #comicwithafemalesuperhero completed ✅. Once I got used to reading it on the #Kindle app, I really enjoyed it and will definitely be getting the next one! 4 1/2 ⭐
A fun Black Widow story, though I did feel it was trying sort of hard to align with the movie version of the character and with SHIELD.
This was a fun spy adventure!
I love spy thrillers and that's what Black Widow is. You start in the middle of the story and piece things together along the way. The art is also gorgeous. #roguebookbingo
Now this book was a lot of fun: Black Widow spy awesomeness. Sure it uses the same story as a lot of them with Black Widow dealing with her past, but it was still a great read.
