pickThis is a book I have had for over two years at least, so glad to have read it now. It is the first in a series. Nora Watts works in a detective agency. But the call she gets is a personal one about her past. It is about a missing girl, her daughter she put up for adoption. This case brings her into contact within a past she would rather leave behind. I really enjoyed this one, I was gripped to the end. Definitely would read the neat one.
pickSo refreshing to have an imperfect, ‘flawed‘ heroine. She absolutely made this book for me. Original and suspenseful, it is easy to see why this is being made into a sequel. I would say the only negative for me was the fluctuating pace at times. Definitely a heroine I would follow!
Just finished this! Was not what I expected at all! But in a good way! What would you do if your daughter went missing - the one you gave away as a baby?
so-soMy very first Canadian suspence was an interesting read with a kick ass female character, Nora, that is surely the strength of this debut. A plot with a few holes and a fluctuating paces that goes up and down towards an end that could have been better. A light read for who's looking for a fast paced book to read over the week end and overall a nice read
