Absent with a Chainsaw
Hahahahaha...I‘d read that.

WOW!! For a YA novella (180 pages), this really was so engaging. A High School setting, with students who, as ghosts, get “stuck” at the HS they died in. It‘s a book about grief, loss, and how the truth heals. Recently reviewed by a fellow Litten. (Book 29) #Michigan 🦋🦋🦋🦋 @Victoriahoperose
This was a really short book that packed a powerful punch. It really examines ideas about life and death and the afterlife in the eyes of 3 teenagers whose spirits are stuck in the high school where they died. I really felt like there was a lot in this book about teens and the pressures they face and how so many things can drastically change their outlooks. Great writing and story.
I'm so sorry I have been so absent over the last week! This week was crazy and on top of it I have been in the worst reading slump! I feel like I can't finish a book! It's so frustrating! I did finish my #whodunitbymail today and sent it off to @Jess7 though so I count that as an accomplishment (I sent it priority so it should be there on time on Monday!)
I checked this out on a whim and surprised by how much I'm liking it. The basic concept of a non-horror teen ghost story reminded me a little of I Woke Up Dead at the Mall, which was 'ehh', but this is way better so far. Not likely to be a favorite read of the year but definitely a quick, engaging read.
