This is my most local library. Unfortunately I have yet to venture through its doors!

The library is in Jesmond and following the councils decision to close the library in 2013, it is run by volunteers 3 days a week.

It sounds like there is a lot going on during these times, and hopefully by the end of the year I will have gone inside! 😊

Jesmond: From Mines to Mansions | Alan Morgan

I bought this book for a friends birthday (we live in Jesmond, Newcastle upon Tyne) about the mines and mansions of Jesmond, and another about the town moor.

When having a quick flick through, I found a picture of my street! It looks more or less the same, but less trees, more cars, and no yard fences. 😱😍
