This was a very average graphic novel, meant to give some additional background on the show's character, Malcolm Merlyn. For a charismatic "bad guy", this just felt like more of the same. We see familiar locales like Corto Maltese & Nanda Parbat and some other characters from the show. What this lacks is spark. I was hoping for something new or wacky in his past, but this fell flat. At least the art was clean & colorful. ⬇️

Even though I‘m not watching Arrow anymore these days, I enjoyed the extra background on Merlyn. I don‘t think it really added much to a complex character. Only for fans of the Arrow-verse I think.

A Malcolm Merlin story that takes place between seasons. It was full of information that I wonder if it will make it into the show.

Honestly, I bought this because it ties into the show, i had no idea when it took place in the universe. Turns out, it was a mix of past and present and it was brilliant!
