These are not the best written novels, but I enjoy them.

First time I read this genre #tartannoir So I can‘t comment much on this, but definitely I will include these type of books in my future reading. This detective story revolves around Nazi war criminal, underworld rivals & personal life. Interesting read though I couldn‘t connect at some places. 3.5🌟
With this I finished #booked2020 #spring challenge.
This is 9th book in the series for #readyoursign #sagittarius prompt
♐️ This was my last book read for the #ReadYourSign challenge - a book written by a #Sagittarius author.
🧟♀️ There are some surprising deaths in both books that are different from the show. Still very good.
🧮 Total I read 4/5 for the challenge. I couldn‘t stay awake long enough to get to read the 9th in a series.
I also ✅ a strong-willed character, blue in the title, & 9 in the title.
👏 Thank you for hosting @Meaw_catlady and @Clwojick !
This YA book was super cute, even if it wasn't perfect. Bailey is a vintage film buff, with retro style, and is a bit naive, or is it just stupidity? Porter, the half Polynesian surfer dude is pretty much who would've made my 17 year old heart flutter. They start a little romance. There's a nice friendship between Bailey & new friend Grace. It touches on addiction & consent. Enjoy it for what it is and don't think too hard. Ah, young love! 💖⬇️
A prequel graphic novel about 6 midcentury superheroes and their sordid personal lives while glossing over their heroics. They've got corny aliases like Blue Bolt, The Flare, & Skyfox and are dealing with homosexuality, adultery, and alcoholism. The highlights were the cocky, wealthy George admonishing his friend for preferring Hemingway to James Joyce and cameos by Katie Hepburn and J. Edgar Hoover. I wouldn't waste my time on the next volume. ⬇️

I finished my 3rd book for the #ReadYourSign challenge, 9 in the title!
This collection of articles covered a variety of topics. My favorites were about the brain; in one a scratching obsession is almost cured with a mirror. Another favorite was about Darwin & his botanical work. Some articles had science above my head so I won‘t be trying another from the collection, but that‘s not their fault.

5🌟 A few minor things annoyed me but Kate Meader wrote a romance novel with some sexy scenes that don't include goofy euphemisms for genitalia! If that isn't worth the price of admission, I don't know what is!
Him: Strong, quiet type.
Her: LA face with an Oakland booty.
They had a 6 night anonymous sex-fest five years ago. She's an actress, set to film her new movie in Chicago. He's the CFD consultant on the film. Can they make it work? ⬇️
3.5 ? but still a pick. This book was a bit of mystery, a little romance, and part coming-of-age story. Inspired by the ghost of California's Hotel del Coronado, this follows phantom Kate Morgan beginning in 1892 and a young woman, also a Kate Morgan, leaving her home at her granddad's urging her to find "the beautiful stranger" in 1958. A slow, meandering glimpse at their lives & their connection. Some Hollywood star cameos pop up, too. ⬇️
