Very Californian fantasy but cozy compared to books by James Blaylock or Tim Powers. Older woman as heroine, which is nice, but some very cringey bits now.
1. I've just started The Perfect Mother by Aimee Molloy, after finishing The Perfect Nanny by Leila Slimani.
2. Tea. Any variety or flavour of black tea.
3. Tea. English breakfast with sugar and a tiny bit of milk.

Never read anything by this author, and the plot sounded interesting so I‘m giving it a whirl. My kitty isn‘t doing so well these days, so anything to take my mind off of that is welcome company.
