I enjoyed reading this book because it shows how books can connect people. This can be used in a classroom to show students what its like to be bonded by a book. This could also show students how people can be connected from all over the world.

The red book is a wordless picture book that leaves the story up for interpretation. It is about a little boy and little girl on two completely different sides of the world who find each other through the pictures of a red book they found. Since the book doesn‘t have any words it would be great for the Storytelling (S) teaching strategy. It would not be hard to apply UDL
It‘s a book with NO WORDS but still a great story! #childrensbook #librarianrecommended #24b4monday
Since the book has no words I will describe a part. When the boy takes off with the balloons he drops his red book and you can see how sad he is about it.
This book would be great for kindergarten. It is a very easy picture book for kids to read and use their imagination. Definitely a cute story for young kids to read.
This is a picture book. This book is a great book about a book. It is shown through pictures which is fun because you get to read the story through your own mind. The pictures are great for kids to look at. They show a young boy in class.
“This book is about a book. A magical red book without any words- just like the one in your hands right now.”
This book is unique because it does not have any words except for on the back cover.
The Red Book is a Caldecott winning book by Barbara Lehman. This book is about a book! It teaches children how important and special books are. It shows how much power a book can have.
This book is about a girl who goes on an adventure to discover new possibilities and friends. It is told only through pictures, and even though the illustrations look simplistic, they have so much detail in them and are so visually pleasing.
If you‘re working with young children, I think a fun activity would be to have them draw where they would go or what they would do if they had the red book.
Caldecott Honor
I love this book! This is a great book for young children. I believe it shows them that they can use their imagination for everything!
Imaginative story that children can read and understand without having to read any words.

A book about a book, the red book. The red book is a magical book that has no words, but words through the power of the pictures and illustrations. Finding the red book on the street, the little girl can see other worlds through the pages of other kids reading the red book. The book brings two friends together with a continuous journey. Caldecott honor book. This story if perfect for young children. Even children who cannot read yet will find this story enjoyable to read with others and on their own. It shows the connection of books to people and vise verse and I think that is an important thing to know.
The Red Book by Barbara Lehman, 2004. This is a story told entirely without words. The book within a book within a book story creates an intriguing story. The pictures tell the story and in the clearest way possible with no other context. The images are simple and blocked to create a comic book type story.
Although there is no quote because this book is wordless, I wanted to show off this picture because it perfectly shows that the red books journey is not over! There is always a new owner finding this little book and taking it on a new adventure.
I love how each of the characters are experiencing each characters lives through this magical red book! It‘s so cool to see them seeing theirselves in the book!
Published in 2004 and awarded the Caldecott in 2005, illustrations are absolutely crucial in this book! This wordless book allows you to create your own story to what you see. Following along, the use of color helps you to follow the red book into many different adventures and allows the reader to predict where it‘s going next! This book is powerful because without words it can still evoke an entire story in our minds.
When I think #redbooks, what comes to mind is The Red Book, a wonderful wordless picture book about the magic of reading. Our copy is locked up in the pod, so borrowing an image from Amazon. #17booklove @jess.how
