This book is a triptych of stories of 3 young Irish people struggling in Australia. It took a while to grab me, the problem being that as soon as it started to get compelling, it moved to the next story. The middle story is longer and more interesting, but the final story is slipshod and the ending is just silly. This really didn‘t work for me.

I haven‘t booked for this event yet: still not sure I‘m going to be around.

#wideopenroad
A lot of time spent on the road in this one. A fitting end to #marchintooz as it‘s set in Australia.
Thanks to Cindy and Liz for this month 😁❤️

Cinfhen Oooh, first one to post about this book...but there‘s no blurb!!! I‘m curious to hear more..... 6y
Lizpixie I hope you come visit some day. You‘ll take home some of that red dirt in your clothes, it never comes out because it has so much pigment. 6y

TrishB @Cinfhen I must have read before Litsy! It‘s a good, solid read and like The Dry you get the full Australia impact- weather, outback etc 6y
TrishB @Lizpixie definitely somewhere I‘d like to go one day ❤️ 6y
artkavanagh I‘m definitely going to read this some day. Not putting it on my to read stack yet, though: I don‘t want it to get too overwhelming. The author is taking part in a public event (interview) in about 10 days‘s time. I‘d like to get to that. 6y

@RealLifeReading
The cover and title go together brilliantly.
