pickI didn't even realize this was a Marjorie Liu comic until after I'd started it, but I've been wanting to read X-23 ever since seeing Logan. I wasn't as in love with the artwork (except for the part done by Sana Takeda)-- it felt a bit too stereotypical, scantily clad women style. But I really enjoyed the story and learning more about Laura.
I've got a loooooong list of series I trot out when people ask me where they can possibly start with the X-Men, and I realized I haven't shared very many of these X-Recs on Litsy.
I'm gonna remedy that over the next few weeks.
X-23's my absolute go-to. It's about a girl who was raised as a weapon and must now figure out how to be a person. Laura appeared in two miniseries before this, but her first solo series mostly stands alone. #xrecs

My husband and I watched the movie "Logan" last night and I loved the girl's storyline. I looked it up and of course there's a comic book. Even better, it's by Marjorie Liu!
