Pickpick

Little did I know that when I picked up The Butter Battle Book at the library I actually picked up “Dr. Seuss Does an Arms Race”! The Yooks and the Zooks butter their bread differently, which leads to weapons, culminating with the creation of the “Big-Boy Boomeroo,” a tiny device that, if dropped, will annihilate the enemy. Could be humorous if not for current events. A few world leaders should read this book. It‘s right at their reading level.

TheWordJar @Abby-J I‘ve never read The Sneetches! But isn‘t Yertle the Turtle an anti-fascism parable too? I like that he‘s deeper than just One Fish, Two Fish! (edited) 7y
SaraBeagle My husband teaches this when they cover the Cold War in his history class 7y
Cheshirecat913 @Abby-J 😲 I didn't realize that! Wow, interesting to see it in that light. 7y

I would suggest a few world leaders read this, but I‘m afraid it would encourage them to race to be first to drop the Boomeroo 😞.
