Not bad for a cozy mystery. The supernatural element really had no bearing on the story.

I had higher hopes for this but it really missed the mark. Too many story lines, slow to build, and it really barely had to do with obituaries at all. The romance, if you can call it that, was forced and unnatural. I picked this for the title and premise, especially in October but it just fell flat. Book #69 in 2023
This looks like it could be fun. I have it in paperback but it popped up as a free Amazon kindle book on book bub today if anyone is interested.
This book didn't know whether it was a mystery or a romance, magical realism or a screwball comedy. It would have been better if it tried to do less. As it was, it was quick and light and very predictable. I didn't hate it but I won't bother with the rest of the series.
I scrolled waaay down my kindle list to books I bought 4 and 5 years ago and, reading the blurbs, I don't know why I bought some of them as they don't sound great to me today. This grouping is a pretty mixed bag. I may read To Murder A Saint, This Doesn't Happen In The Movies, or the tagged book. Have any of you liked or disliked any of these?
♥♥♥♥ my #CozySwap 📦! Thank you so much @hermyknee!
I can't wait to get to the books and tea. I've already worn the wrap.
Thank you @avanders for such a fun swap.
Just came across this #kindlefreebie and thought I would pass it along!
Scoured my Kindle TBR shelves for some books with #Fruit on the cover for the #AugustLibrary17 photo challenge. I am pretty sure all of these are freebies I downloaded over the years, so haven't had any intense rush to read them. A few look especially good though, so maybe I'll bump them up my list. Maybe. 😝📚
