Only when you and your mate know and respect each other's needs, choices, and freedom can you give yourselves freely and lovingly to one another. Boundaries in Marriage gives you the tools you need. Drs. Henry Cloud and John Townsend, counselors and authors of the award-winning bestseller Boundaries, show you how to apply the principles of boundaries to your marriage. This book helps you understand the friction points or serious hurts and betrayals in your marriage -- and move beyond them to the mutual care, respect, affirmation, and intimacy you both long for.

Two weeks ago my department was faced with major layoffs due to COVID. I was lucky to keep my job with reduced hours and a lot more work. One of my new tasks is running these updates that take 5,000 years longer than they need to. I do it twice a week and I DREAD it. I‘m an effort to shift my attitude, this is now my mandated Tuesday/Thursday reading time! How can you shift your attitude about a dreaded task this week?

Libby1 Wonderful. I hope the work goes well. The Boundaries series is really helpful. I‘m slowly recovering from suspected Covid-19 and each day expect myself to accomplish more than is possible. It‘s a daily thing readjusting my expectations. I‘m having a good day with that today. I hope you will have a good day, too. 💜 4y
Morr_Books I have a few dreaded tasks too. I sometimes use a reward system. If I complete this task then I get to do something I like to do, etc 4y
Hestapleton @Libby1 so glad to hear you are on the mend and I hope your recovery continues to progress well! 💜 I love the Boundaries series. I read the main one and SAFE PEOPLE a while ago and they changed my life. I‘m really excited for this one! (edited) 4y
Hestapleton @Morr_Books yes rewards are essential! I‘ve been known to do 20 minutes of work, then read 5 pages in my book, and so on. It‘s a motivator! 4y
