Finished my 4th book of the readathons and have now been reading for almost 22 hours, so I've completed the #20in4 and am close to completing #deweysapril. Just two more hours and then I will sleep and sleep. I really enjoyed this book, though sometimes I got confused with the timeline. Also, this was my #100 pick for #Roll100. @PuddleJumper #readathon @DeweysReadathon @Andrew65

Finished Book #2 of readathons a few hours ago and forgot to post it. I thought the GTD method the author proposes in this book is very reasonable and should be executable. Maybe I'll try it out starting this next week. #readathon #20in4 #deweysapril @DeweysReadathon @Andrew65

Book #1: Decided to take a break from Dickens to read a book from my childhood when I wanted to become a meteorologist (and almost did). I'm really glad I read this before I gave it to my nephew as this book is ridiculously inaccurate. I'd call it barely scientific as it is anti-evolution & climate change. It is very outdated, but I feel that the author wouldn't change his views even if he wrote this book today. Not even donating this. #readathon

LauraBrook Some books are just made for the recycling bin. Sorry this was such a bummer! 1mo

I'm really behind now on the #Roll100 challenge, as I am still working on the March rolls, but I don't want to skip any of them. Calypso was Roll #20 and has been on my shelf for four + years now. This book made me laugh a lot, but some of the humor made me a bit uncomfortable.

I had a really really hard time putting this book down. I think it was one of the best thrillers I've read in a long time. This read led to a very interesting conversation in one of my book clubs this week. So many things to discuss in this book: characters, economics, religion and more. We even discussed zoning laws because of this book. I can imagine that it was quite scandalous for the 50s (when it was first published).

During Day 3 of the #FabulousFebruary readathon, I finished the tagged book as part of Black History Month. MLK was so inspiring. I really appreciated the section when he discussed that desegregation means nothing without solving the issue of economic disparity. An issue I believe to be still quite prevalent in our society today. Great read!

I am way behind on 2022 already, but I am catching up..a bit. I was gonna make my goals for January when I returned from vacation but instead got COVID. I was not eating well while I was sick and hardly read at all, but the last week of January was productive, so I am getting back to my normal self again and hope to return to my after work walking again this month. #BFC2022 @wanderinglynn

Day 3: I read a bit more yesterday to reach a total of 14 hours so far in #20in4. I finished this audiobook, which stresses the importance of breathing the right way. I don't buy into the claims that breathing exercises can cure illness like cancer, but I do think there is value to practicing good breathing both physical and mental. The audiobook also had a guide to some of the exercises at the end, so the reader could start practicing. @Andrew65

I enjoy books like this that I can relate to, even if only a bit - has a good message & gives useful tips to accomplish the message. There were potential contradictions in some tips, but that didn't change my opinion of the overall book too. This was written before COVID times, so I wonder if she has revised anything to fit the current times.

I finished this at my work desk this morning. I enjoyed the book - ish. There were certain scenes that I was really into and I kinda adored Hardin. I don't think I loved this book as much as I had hoped though. The characters weren't very diverse or really developed. The beginning parts with Seldon and the beginning of the Foundation seemed a bit weak. I might still continue with this series though. Completed Roll #24 for #Roll100. @PuddleJumper
