#21 in the Kate Shugak series. I just finished #20 but the ending was so "what the hell" that I had to continue into the next book to find out it was resolved.

2. Yes. Besides reading to the holidays I also sometimes read winter books in the summer to try to think/feel cooler. 😆

It was a great pleasure catching up with Kate today. I‘ve been reading her since the beginning and love this series. Kate is one of my all-time favorite characters - strong, independent, smart, and loyal. Kate, Mutt, and Jim make a great team. Looking forward to the next one!
pickKate Shugak is one of my all time favorite characters & she is in rare form in her 21st outing. It starts with Kate in & then out of the hospital faster than the doctors can say, "you really shouldn't leave." Kate disappears leaving Jim & Mutt behind. Winter soon approaches & so too do crimes that need to be solved. Kate is reunited with Jim & things really take off. This is one of my favorite series -Alaska!- & I can't recommend it highly enough.
