9/10 Excellent book, definitely a case of truth is stranger (and more interesting) than fiction. I enjoy how this is written, more like a conversation with a friend than a point A to point B type story. I've got a list of a couple restaurants I want to try next time I'm in Toronto!
There are so many books about women, feminism, sex, relationships, etc out there right now. This book was great to me because it took place in Toronto and was a real look into the restaurant industry (where my parents worked my whole life) - and right away I knew I would like it. Take what you want from it, but I liked how she was honest and quirky! 4/5.
I've been really obsessed with books about the food industry these days. So when I saw Anthony Bourdain talking about this book I just had to have it plus the title is just amazing! Interested to read this book about a woman in such a male dominated field.
Sure someone here can help out... or further snark the NY Times for needing that much help finding women authors.
