so-soI was loving this book until the author started to explore the topic of the comedians strike at the Comedy Store. From there, he dedicated about eighty percent of the book towards that topic, which is unfortunate because it's not particularly interesting.
Also, if you've lost a loved one to suicide, it might be best to avoid this particular book.

pickIf you love #comedy history you will love this book. With the recent passing of #MitziShore & the success of the Showtime series based on this book (not a retelling) it seems right to mention it in my feed. I will likely post more comedy inspiration later but this is a keeper. A great read with a lot of personal meaning for me & those who love the #comedystore and #LA #standup comedy. RIP Mitzi. :(
