When a naval cruiser sinks in mysterious circumstances in the North Sea, all aboard are lost. Rose is saddened to learn that the brother of her friend, Keisha, was among the dead. I am posting one book per day from my extensive to-be-read collection. No description and providing no reason for wanting to read it, I just do. Some will be old, some will be new. Don‘t judge me - I have a lot of books. Join the fun if you want.
This is day 180

Pickpick

This was a nice and creepy tie-in to the series featuring Ten, Rose, and Mickey. Cole does an excellent job of getting the voices of the characters right. The story reminded me a bit of the Waters of Mars episode, which to be honest isn't one of my favorites. But I enjoyed this pretty well. I think this was the last of the Ten and Rose books that I'd yet to read, so that's a bummer.

BeansPage Woot!!! 7y
Traci1 @Syndelle777 I've not gotten off to a good start. Today was unexpectedly hectic, so I didn't get much reading in. Hoping tomorrow will be better. 7y
BeansPage You can do it! 😄 I'm rooting for you! 7y

callunakeep I have not yet read ANY of the Dr. Who books ... so afraid to find them unworthy, like when they make a movie out of a favorite book and the movie sucks — only this time making books out of a BELOVED show that is so much more than a show to me. I have been reading reviews on Litsy by you and other fellow Whovians ... I think I may be ready to jump in...maybe. 7y
Traci1 @callunakeep most of them read like an episode. If you like Eleven, I'd recommend The Glamour Chase. For Ten (if you like Donna), I'd start with Beautiful Chaos. Those are my favorites & both by Gary Russell. There are so many of them out now, & only a few that I didn't mostly enjoy (& I still wouldn't want to skip them). I'd say dive in. They're short enough that even if you don't love them you won't have invested tons of time. 7y
callunakeep @Traci1 Thank you for the encouragement and the recommendations!! 🤓💕 I think I will definitely dive in! 🙌🏻 7y

Katerina I've never read any of the books. Can you recommend them? 7y
Traci1 @Katerina Yes! They aren't all terrific, but most of them are very good and like watching an episode. My favorites are by Gary Russell, Simon Gurrier, Jacqueline Rayner, and Trevor Baxendale. There are also really good audio stories available (Big Finnish productions are the best) narrated by cast members. 😊 7y
Traci1 @Seekingtardis sigh. If only it were that easy. 7y
Katerina @Traci1 Thank you 😊 I know about Big Finish, but I've never read any of the books. I'll make sure to try them out. I'm so excited for the new season! 😄 7y
Swe_Eva 😂💜 7y
QueenJen I saw him in Jessica Jones, now that will mess with your mind!! (I love Dr Who!) 7y
Traci1 @QueenJen he is very good at playing bad guys. But I definitely prefer him as the Doctor. 7y
