The wedding, y'all!!
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I can't get enough of these books! At first I was bummed there weren't more details on "the wedding! " but then I discovered the wedding had its own novella!! (?????) Bonus: it was readily available in my Overdrive!!

This book is fun for the witty dialogue between the 2 mains. I dropped a star for the redundant declarations of love. Yes, I'll say it, the "cheesy" stuff. It is a "typical romance" but I enjoyed the dynamic between the 2 enough that I'll read the second. The base story that ties this series together is definitely intriguing.
4⭐, y'all!
Another Lady Darby. Seems I've found a series to enjoy. 😉🥃📚
I read some reviews of this before reading, you know, as one does. A lot of people compared it to Beauty and the Beast. There were MAYBE one or two things that were similar, but no! It is not a retelling at all. What had me curious about this was I had heard that Ellen bought the rights to it!
Though it's not my favourite book of the year, I did enjoy it and I'm glad I read it.
Loved this! Was the perfect "between" book. The brief histories of various Queens were enough to hold your attention and maybe even learn some things.
I love how this series had a bit of an edge that many historicals don't have yet it still has that hopeful side too. Lady Darby is the Bomb!
I carried this book with me everywhere in my teen years. I have no idea what happened to my copy but as time went, I forgot the title, but I would talk about off and on. No one I knew had ever read it or anything like it. I was reunited with this story after read an article on finding books you don't know the title of. Turns out lots of people have read it!! And it won awards!! The reread was pure nostalgia!
This is the best book I've ever read in my life! I will never read this book again.
Excuse me, I need more tissues......

I've never read V. E. Schwab, so why not start at the beginning!?

So many "laugh out loud" moments!
One thing that did kind of surprise me was the number of graphic moments or "hard topics" and in all the reviews I read, not even so much as a hint. One essay in particular was kind of hard to read, but I did enjoy this book immensely.

I loved this! It was fun and easy to read with a dash of everything. I laughed out loud, I cried, I got irritated and most of all, I got lost in the story.

1. I didn't really like any of the books I had to read in school
2. Black Supernatural shirt
3. Supernatural 😉🥃
4. Fairies. But are they really imaginary?
1. I don't know how to decide!! Written in Red, A Dangerous Collaboration, We sold our Souls, and a couple of biographies
2. A magical girl Manga. It was AWFUL!! (And I spent money on this!)
3. To finish The Others series I started
4. Goodreads, 45. (I'm @ 24)

1. Saturday was the best!
2. I didn't used to be much of a rereader, but lately I've ran into a series (The Others) that just might get reread.
3. Toronto Raptors! (What's a Toronto Raptor?)
4. I carried around a copy of The Changeover by Margaret Mahy. It took a long time for me to figure out what the book was. Until recently, I couldn't remember anything but the plot! @Chrissyreadit Thanks for the tag!

I don't know what it is, but the world in these books and the story of this world's inhabitants is absolutely phenomenal!! I feel like this is how I should've felt about Harry Potter. (but I don't) How is there not a fandom built around these books??
#hellothursday @wanderinglynn
1. Chocolate cake or potato chips and French onion dip
2. Not a movie, but Supernatural on Netflix! (Family don't end in blood)
3. Urban Fantasies and Historical Fiction
4. A day off doing nothing but reading, napping and Netflix
5. It's almost the weekend, y'all!
Good Omens comes out on Amazon Prime tomorrow! Meanwhile, I'm working on the book. 😉🥃

1. My library hold list dictates most of my reads. Sometimes it'll even let me read one I've bought!
2. I'll read anywhere!
3. Work and other adulting tasks
4. Whatever I'm craving at that time.
5. Jump on in, y'all! 😉🥃

Read this yesterday. It's been awhile since I read a book in a day. I don't know that this was anything special. I started off not sure I liked where the story was going, but I had to know just one more thing, which lead to another. Mostly, I think I really enjoyed having the afternoon to read and this is the book that happened to come in from my library hold.
3⭐
I love this series enough to feel a sense of "coming home" when I visit this world. This one was a bit slower passed with less action than the other 2. There was action, just not as much. I think my favorite part was the introduction of a new "sweet blood" and her rediscovering her love of drawing.
5⭐ Finally finished this. I had started it in November during a very rough time. Today at work, the fates allowed me to get it done. I'm amazed at how positive Michelle Obama is even after "it all!" I love how uplifting she is when it comes to other women, uplifting children. The positive outlook and the power of hope. I would list her as a hero in my book!
5⭐ Just look at that cover, y'all!!
Not to mention the 80's & 90's Rock.....ALL OF IT! This totally played on my nostalgia of being a young sort of metal head and what a "selling your soul for rock &roll" should be and more!!
With books that I really love, I begin to fear the ending. (yeah, I've been hurt before) but the ending is brilliant!!
Reminder: it is a horror, the are triggers. But it's not the worst I've read.

3. Reading, sleeping, and a phone call to mom!

This book is book 1 in a series. It does end with some of the "big" questions left unanswered. Having said that, I did enjoy the kick ass female lead with some pretty decent action scenes. This is also considered a romance. I don't usually like the sexy times to be overly detailed and this book was perfect in that regard. The fight scenes definitely out number the sexy times.
I haven't read much Syfy but I did enjoy this one!

📚 Fox in Socks by Dr. Suess
🎞 The Fox and the Hound
🎶 What does the Fox Say (yeah, me either)

1. I tried once, but I don't think I was the target audience. 😉
2. Fledgling by Octavia Butler. I wanted more AFTER, you know....
3. If they're lying around where ever I am.
4. Yes! I'll read anywhere!!
5. I haven't, but I want to.

1. A Curious Beginning. A refresher before reading book 2
2. When I was young, we spent summers at my father's house and reading was mostly what there was to do. We weren't taken to the library so what I brought was read multiple times. Included were Ladyhawke, A Wrinkle in Time, and The Changeover.

4. A rainbow from last week, ending on our library.
5. Reading this? Tag!
I picked this up because I read a review somewhere that called this a "Weird Western." There are cowboys, bronc bustin, Rangers, and monsters! Lots of monsters! I absolutley LOVED this book!! It is my current favorite!

📚 Lilac Girls
🎞 Driving Miss Daisy (I had a hard time with the movie part! )
🎶 Pocket full of Sunshine
I didn't even make it half way before I got tired of Cinderella. She seems to be too much princess (of the spoiled variety) rather than Queen material. The lack of empathy for others is not at all what Cinderella is.
I take my Cinderella stories seriously, y'all! 😉🥃🥿
1. Grape Ape and Captain CAAAAAAAVE MAAAAAAAN!
2. To figure out what I want to be when I grow up.
3. Whatever is due back to the library first. After that, the book that grabs my attention first.
4. Octavia Butler, but it was more of a "How did I not know these existed" deal.
5. Besides Saga, what graphic novel or Manga would you recommend?
#friyayintro @howjessreads
3🌟 Mostly I read this to see how close to the Hallmark Murders and Mysteries version this was. (Especially considering who wrote this) Yes, Hallmark did time it down a bit as well as tweaking here and there. I'll probably read the next one but I'm not rushing to the library.
📚 I like the TV show so much, I figure the book must be better!
📚Hopefully my weekend will be filled with reading, crocheting, and maybe Netflix
🥚🧂Absolutely!

What can I say at this point? I don't think I could love this series any more than I do right now!! (But then, I did say this when I finished the last book)
😉🥃📚
I figured since I really LOVE the Veronica Speedwell series, perhaps I should read about Lady Julia Grey.
I did enjoy this first book and will read the second but Veronica Speedwell is still my spirit animal. 😉🥃📚
I haven't read Kindred yet but when ever I think about Octavia Butler, I remember the Parable books. The thing that's fascinating is how it was written a while ago, and yet seems to be almost talking about today. In some aspects, I found that frightening! Make America great again is in this book!!

Better than working!!
This was just "ok" but I do think it's a cute start to a series. I'll check out the 2nd and decide then.
1. Urban fantasy and Historical Fiction
2. Deanna Raybourn
3. Depends on the day. Today, A Curious Beginning
4. I can't think of one, but I'm open to suggestions!!

4🌟 Mostly because I like it. It's more of a guilty pleasure than a literary work of art. But then I tend to read more for pleasure. 😉🥃📚
Are you even kidding me right now?? This book was published in 2010. Are we not yet past that point when it's all the girls fault when a boy "dupes" a pretty girl? So much that even the "all-forgiving" God is going to be disappointed!! Really!? I've read many different retellings of the same time period that don't put this bs all on the girl. Again, are you even kidding me right now!!?
