Started reading this book thinking I‘d finally found another Heyer romance that I had not read yet... only to realize one-third in that I have definitely read this one before. Oh well, still just as fun the second (or third?) time around!
How to tell I'm in a bit of a reading slump: I have tons checked out from the library yet I cannot stop ordering more.
All my current reading plans were tied to my new tablet but it started having touch screen issues after only a week so now I'm in the process of exchanging it. All reading plans are mostly on hold until the new one comes Monday. Until then, I'll just keep ordering in more physical books to fill the void.
"I have not until today had much opportunity to engage in verbal encounters. The gentleman I have previously been acquainted with have all been distinguished by propriety of manner and conduct!"
"That must have made 'me sad bores!" He commented.
Annis had met her match. ❤️
"No one could think she was bookish, but she reads prodigiously, and even keeps books in her bedchamber!"
A beautiful, fashionable, well-connected lady who reads? The horror! ?
