Mehso-so

I was really looking forward to this book and while it was a good and fairly quick read, I didn‘t enjoy it nearly as much as Insatiable. I liked some of the plot points, but the ending really didn‘t make sense to me (and I didn‘t like it). I feel like more could have been done with the characters and with some of the plot lines (like Lucien‘s mother), so I‘m a bit disappointed.
6/10

Pickpick

Between so-so and pick. This is the second (and probably last) book in the Insatiable series. Its cute and vampy. Entertaining, but nothing mind-blowing.

After the first 20 pages or so I realized that this a second part of a series. Thought for a moment about buying the first one and read it first, but the book wasn't so good so far I decided against it. Good decision! Didn't like the writing (okay, that could be the translation), the characters were quite superficial and the main character Meena - supposed to be a grown up woman - behaved like a teenager. This is a very poor retelling of Dracula.

Izai.Amorim Looking at the background, I'd bet this picture was taken in Germany! 🏡 7y
