Mehso-so

I was hoping for some much more with this book, but is was just ehh. There were some really good points being made, but they were hidden between ranting. Which wasn't a bad thing, it just wasn't what I was expecting.

Pickpick

“One state senator actually argued that since eliminating the tampon tax would alleviate financial burden for only women, it is therefore a sexist proposal. Apparently the fact that it is only women who pay it sits just fine with him.“
- One of the many remarks in this book that made me just laugh out loud like “omg, all this stuff is so ridiculous“ but then also think like “omg wow we are still so totally fucked.“

sarahlandis This book was repetitive and I didn't really enjoy the narrative. The author sure did looove humble-bragging. However, it gave several resources and facts to help my (already exuberant) drive to be outspoken about menstrual health and menstrual inclusiveness. She also provided a lot of information on really great organizations that are tied to menstrual health 4y

Snagged a few books over the last week of author events.
Still hoarding almost 20 library books so my owned #TBR continues to be low priority but these non-fiction all get me striving to push through! #bookhaul

mrozzz @Chelsibeau libraries dislike paperbacks! But it's good for you because it's a bit cheaper and also, I agree, read one page and knew I needed to pick it up! 7y
emilyhaldi I really want this one!! 7y

LiteraryinPA I have to be honest that I hadn't heard about the phrase "menstrual equity" and the building movement surrounding it. I'm glad I saw your post and looked up an article on it. This sounds like a worthwhile book! 7y
