I really wished I liked reading horror stories. Love the genre as movies and TV shows, but books, I am just okay with them.

The story line was easy to follow, but I felt like it was lacking excitement. And I wasn't satisfied with the ending because it seems very abrupt.

Chrys I‘m glad to see someone else who felt the same as I did about this one. I know it is a classic, but it just didn‘t work for me. 3d

It was a nice surprise to find my local library was participating in the Big Library Read so I could be apart of reading this story with others. This novel gives good perspective for YAs about different backgrounds as well why a race riot might begin.

Not a horrible novel, but I just couldn't take this story seriously. Though I got a lot of laughs, the fast pace and unbelievable mystery solving skills of 2 ammeture sleuths was just too much for me to overcome. I finished it- so I didn't hate it, but not one that I would pick up again.

Creswell and Wadsworth are... not at it again. I was disappointed with this read because what I have come to love was not present in this book- a lovely team working together to solve crimes. Though I get what the author was doing, I felt the love triangle was unnecessary and that the case was a background piece. With that said, I am looking forward to the next book, hoping it gets back to what I loved so much about the story.

"The Other Wes Moore" is about 2 men who grew up in the same neighborhood, with the same name, even though the 2 boys never met. The book follows how both of their lives took 2 very different paths and how the author could have ended up in the same place. Engaging read and one I highly reccommend!

The final Young Elites book is just so-so for me. I didn't hate it, but didn't love it either. I lost interest at times, but there were moments that held my interest. I thought the story wrapped up nicely the way she went with it, but I am glad to be done the series to move onto something else.

Very informative read! These women were subjected to large amounts of radium- so much so they literally glowed- and many doctors and company executives claimed it wasn't the radium. How hard it was for the girls to win at court was amazing. A great story to remember the women who lost their lives and what their deaths did for industrial laborer protections.

This book fell on my radar because it is so popular with my students- winning the March madness book tournament easily. I am glad I picked this up. Not only is it informative culturally, but it also covers a number of topics that young adults have to deal with. The female lead is strong, but struggling and I think it is important for teens to see that.
