I may or may not be seeing The Great Comet on Broadway for the THIRD time 🙊

What can I say, they forced my hand when they announced a Sept. 3rd close date - it's just so good!!! I know, I know, I'm spoiled. 😆

Cinfhen Enjoy 7y
BooksForEmpathy Yay!! I was almost going to see this when I was there. Saw 1984 that night instead and have regretted it ever since!! 7y
shutterbug_mama You are so lucky!!! 💫 7y
diovival @BooksForEmpathy 1984 is one of my favorite stories but have been disappointed with the stage adaptations I've seen. Seen two in Pittsburgh. 7y

"I'm just gonna check and see what the prices look like at the TKTS booth" turned into me, center orchestra, beaming through The Great Comet for the second time ? IT'S JUST SO GOOD!!

(Sorry, quick Broadway detour - but hey, it is based off a small section of War and Peace after all ?)

mcipher Look at those lights!! 😍 7y
ReadingsByTheC That looks amazing! 7y
swishandflick @mcipher Right?! The staging/lighting throughout is so, so wonderful! 7y

swishandflick @ReadingsByTheC It's incredible! I kept tearing up. Not because anything was particularly sad, mind you, but because it's just so exquisitely beautiful 😭 7y
Cathythoughts Brilliant picture ! 💫 7y
shutterbug_mama I saw it 2 weeks ago and had the best table seat! I got a letter from the clarinet player during "Letters," an egg shaker, and a pierogi. 4 actors leaned against me, one talked to me, and Ingrid (Sonya) sat beside me on the steps and her solo was in front of me. I loved this show so much!! Wished I could see it again! ?loved loved loved the whole experience! 7y
swishandflick @alabama03 So jealous!! That sounds fantastic. I'd love to experience it from the stage!! I saw it first with Groban and was in the front row of the mezz (loved that seat) and this time I was in the orchestra (but I think I preferred the mezz between the two). Such a unique, immersive theatrical experience! 💫 (edited) 7y
shutterbug_mama I'd love to sit front row mezz! I kept turning around trying to watch what was happening up there on some dance scenes. Just so much to see - you need multiple visits to see it all! 7y

This show was incredible! One of the best shows I've seen. The staging, the music, the costumes! It left me so inspired to go out and make art.

TheBookDream I have heard good things, but every time I try to listen to the soundtrack I can't get in to it 7y
swishandflick I felt the same way!! So immersive with the cast interaction and I feel like you'd have a completely different experience depending on where you're sitting. (And did you get to see it with Oak?! I've been wanting to see it again just for him 😄) 7y
brendanmleonard @TheBookDream yes! I had such a hard time with the cast recording but seeing it was a whole different experience @swishandflick we did see it with Oak (and Ingrid). We were on the banquettes on the stage. 7y
