I‘ve decided to break up with Goodreads so I‘ve been exploring some new reading apps like Audrey (pictured), an audio app with guided commentary, and alternative book trackers like StoryGraph and Beanstack.
Anyone else use these or similar? I‘m open to recommendations!
IndoorDame I switched over from goodreads to StoryGraph last year and I couldn‘t be happier! 2y
MoonWitch94 Why are you breaking up with Goodreads? ((Just curious)). And I have heard a lot of good things about StoryGraph. I may check it out. 2y
psalva I use Story Graph. I love the nuanced options such as .5 and .75 star marks, options to DNF, and the ability to assign books to specific prompts in a read along. 2y

StaceGhost @MoonWitch94 I so rarely review on there and a lot of my family has joined— the worlds are colliding lol— but really just because I want to see what else is available 2y
StaceGhost @IndoorDame @psalva good to know! It looks like the data it gives you is really in depth! Thanks for the feedback! 2y
IndoorDame @StaceGhost the only things I feel the need to keep goodreads around for are that occasionally I want access to my old data, and they have this one amazing group that tracks down books you can‘t remember the titles of with whatever scant ridiculous details you do remember about it. That group has literally never failed me, and I‘ve found some things I was searching for years for with their help! 2y
brittanyreads I am really enjoying Storygraph!! 2y
wanderinglynn I love StoryGraph — the interesting graphs; .25, .5, .75 ratings; the annual reading challenge can be number of books or pages or hours or all 3; + all the other various reading challenges and the easy ability to assign a book to those various reading challenge prompts. Mostly I like that it‘s not owned by Amazon. 2y
Bookwormjillk I use Library Thing. 2y
vlwelser StoryGraph 2y
StaceGhost @indoordame that's a great rec-- I might have to use that channel. Do you have a link? I've been hunting for a really old and obscure book. 2y

bnp I've started using Storygraph some this year, but I'm more active on LibraryThing. 2y
StaceGhost @BrittanyReads @wanderinglynn @vlwelser @bnp thank you for the StoryGraph votes! I‘m definitely going to try it! And thanks @IndoorDame I‘ll see if they can help me out 2y
StaceGhost @Bookwormjillk @bnp I may as well check out library thing, too! 2y
bibliothecarivs I've been on LibraryThing for 15 years (@bibliothecarivs) and mainly use it to catalogue my home library. I believe Litsy was started by a couple of their employees as a side project and is now owned by LT. I've been on StoryGraph for a couple months but haven't put too much effort into it yet. 2y
Chrissyreadit I like StoryGraph. A Lot ❤️ and I also had help finding obscure books with What‘s the name of that book on goodreads- there are some literary detectives there! 2y
