Pickpick

I reread the first 7 volumes of the Yu-Gi-Oh! manga or what Western fans like to refer to as the Season 0 era of the manga. This is such a weird and bizarrely charming story. There are as many creepy moments as there are cheesy ones, and I love them all. Also I'm a sucker for the Friendship Speeches, especially the one Jonouchi makes during the Death-T arc. I'm a bit biased, but I highly recommend giving this series a read!

Mehso-so

Maybe between a pick and a so so. The art was not my cup of tea, but the story is kind of cool. One volume is enough for me though.

Fantasy_bookworm I LOVE books and manga, but personally I like the show better for this story. 4y
Sace @Fantasy_bookworm I really enjoy Manga, but I'm sort of resistant to Anime. It drives my students nuts because they all sort of prefer anime. They love Fairy Tail and One Piece (among others). I can see how those would be better as shows. 4y

I think I picked this on up because I student said they read it. I am not digging the art at all. I haven't read enough to make a judgment about the story, but my first impression is favorable.

Cathythoughts What a generous reason to pick it up 👍 7y
Sace @Cathythoughts I've picked up a few books because of students. They may not have been fabulous, but it is kind of neat to "get in their heads". 7y
