'Fast paced, thrillingly paranoid, page-turning, international adventure at its best!' DEAN KOONTZ AN ANCIENT LIBRARY Ivan the Terrible's Library of Gold was a legendary archive of secret knowledge. It vanished from history centuries ago... Now one of its fabled volumes has come to light. A MODERN CONSPIRACY The CIA has linked the long-lost book, a shadowy cabal, and a terrifying new threat to global security: the library must be found. But with one agent already murdered for knowing too much, who will take up the hunt? A DEADLY MISSION Rare books expert Eva Blake is determined to clear her name after a spell behind bars. Judd Ryder is a one-time spy with a troubled past. Both have nothing to lose, except their lives. Racing from London to Rome, Istanbul to Athens, these desperate treasure hunters must find the library - before its keepers find them.

Day maybe 16 #Top20series #20series20days I wish this would be a series with 20 books! Gayle Lynds can write suspense action thriller, I can tell you! I believe I‘m the first one to post about this author, which is really, really sad. I should totally be an influencer 🤔

I read it a week back and still have it's etches. The thing which I liked the most about it was when the writer mentioned about the way Jewish are different from others by giving importance to the words written in their holy book not to the materialistic book, "It recognises that not a single book but the written word in general is sacred"- The library of gold

I just finished my 4th book, The Book of Spies, for the #24B4Monday #Readathon. It was a very exciting adventure as they were searching for Ivan the Terrible‘s Library of Gold. The story is rich in history, the plot has surprises that keep the pages turning and the characters are those we can love or fear. This is the 2nd book by Gayle Lynds‘ book that I have read and I am looking forward to reading Assassins which is the sequel.

This was a big adventure and a big book, with an awful lot happening. A truly global adventure, taking in many countries, with a treasure hunt involved and people trying to kill the main protagonists, throw in a bit of history and what‘s not to love! Look forward to reading book 2 in this mini-series. This book has also been published as The Book of Spies. Thanks to @Tove_Reads for a great recommendation.

RJHowe I enjoy pretty much everything Gaye writes. 6y

Wow! So many books in this genre are either poorly written, facts are not accurate, or the ending simply sucks, but Lynds simply nailed it!
