Courting Trouble
Courting Trouble | Lisa Scottoline
3 posts | 5 read | 2 to read
Anne Murphy is the redheaded rookie at the Philadelphia law firm of Rosato & Associates, and one morning she wakes up to front-page headlines proclaiming lawyer murdered -- above her own picture. If she wants to stay alive, she's got to play dead. She'll have to trust people she barely knows -- colleagues who hate her, homicide cops who want her out of the crime-fighting business, and a new love who inconveniently happens to be opposing counsel. But her knack for courting trouble makes it almost impossible for Anne to play well with others, and an unexpected event places her in lethal jeopardy and leaves her with everything to lose.

I became a fan of Lisa Scottoline when I attended her author event a few years ago. And by fan, I mean of her books and amazingly hilarious personality. Courting Trouble is #7 in the series, Rosato and Associates. It‘s nice you don‘t have to read these books in order. It suits my personality to read the books in order though. Probably something to do with being Type A personality.

What a fun read! If you are looking for a book that doesn‘t make you think, try this one. Seven pages in and I was thinking, “really?”. But I found myself wanting to see where the story went and enjoying every page of it. I file this type of book under “guilty pleasure reading”.

Anne Murphy is the redheaded rookie of a law firm of Rosato & Associates, one morning while on a little get away she wakes up to the headlines of a paper saying she's dead!
Now to find the killer Anne has to play dead. Who can she trust to do so?
Great read, Lisa Scottoline has her own way of keeping you interested in the stories she tells.
