This follow-up in Harrington‘s Carlisles Brothers series ultimately fell flat for me. There was still some great dialogue, and only one time where feelings were likened to “warm summer rain” (thank goodness). Still, I felt pretty lukewarm about the characters, and the plot got very sloppy, especially towards the end. A rather haphazard endeavor. ★★☆☆☆.
