I‘ve enjoyed every Jennifer Ryan book I‘ve read. This one was no exception. Beck, a DEA agent on leave after a bad op, discovers a woman and little boy on his property. The woman is actress Ashley Swan, who had been missing for over a year. She had been kidnapped, tortured, and held by a madman she thought was her friend. The crime stuff was horrific but I️ most enjoyed Beck‘s and Ashley‘s developing relationship.
