So my sons are mixed with Korean, Cambodian, and Viet. I have been on a search to get children‘s books for them that reflect their Korean heritage and I was so amazed by this beautiful book! Halmoni means grandma in Korean. The illustrations and story are so cute! I recommend to anybody & ALL kids (just to learn about different cultures are so fun too). I‘m so happy there are more diverse children‘s books out! ♥️ #cutebabyfeet 😊

Yuki_Onna That looks lovely! It's on my to read wishlist (never mind it's a children's book. 😄)
Let's see whether I can get my hands on it sometime.

This fantastic book came into the library today! Two children go to visit their halmoni (grandmother) only to find she's not home. A fantastical journey through a new cupboard takes them to see many creatures from Korean folklore, only to find halmoni back at home. The book seamlessly integrates Korean culture and language for those familiar and unfamiliar, and end papers provide hints to the grandmother's journey.
