Book 6️⃣ of #12booksof2020

Was honestly surprised by how much I enjoyed this book about cars. It‘s about a lot more than cars, though. Covering vehicles from the Ford Model T to the Toyota Prius, it examines how these different vehicles shaped and responded to their times. Listened to this on audio and it felt like all the times I‘ve been to car shows with my dad (who was able to guess most of the vehicles when I told him about this book).

Andrew65 Interesting choice. 3y
Nute This sounds interesting to me! Sometimes I am surprised that I am drawn to books with off-the-wall topics like this as well.🙂 3y

I‘ve been thinking that nonfiction might be my best chance of getting on the #audiobook bandwagon. I can‘t handle audio for fiction because the rhythm is just off, but that‘s not as important with nonfiction. I also zone out listening to audio stories but don‘t have trouble focusing on facts.

I was thinking I‘d just start with a short one and go from there but then I thought I‘d check with Litsy...

Care to recommend any nonfiction audiobooks? 📻

llwheeler I can do fiction on audio but I like nonfic a bit better - tagged is awesome on audio if you like the Princess Bride. Also would rec The Nature Fix by Florence Williams if the subject matter interests you, it was quite good on audio 4y
twohectobooks @llwheeler thanks for the recommendations! I like the nature one especially since I have a goal to spend more time outside this year. 4y
