Lindy Odious & banal … I feel safe in giving this a miss. Thanks for the review! 6y
saresmoore Yay! Going to watch this right now! And this screenshot is the most adorable. 6y
saresmoore I was thinking about The Hunting Gun when you were first reviewing The Key. I still think about The Hunting Gun—what a special little book! Great review, as always. 😘 6y

No more fussily prepared quotes from this piece of crap novel! How disappointed am I that Tanizaki would turn out such garbage a decade and a bit after his masterpiece, The Makioka Sisters⁉️ Rather than bail, I will finish, because I‘m already sharpening my knives for my BookTube takedown review! 🤣🤣 I cannot believe how awful this is.

Cinfhen Can't wait for the video!!!!! 6y

Oh my, this couldn‘t be more different from his The Makioka Sisters from a dozen years earlier!

shawnmooney @jeff Please edit the title: the correct title should be “The Key“. Thank you! 6y
batsy I have this so I think I'm definitely including it in my #litsyclassics challenge next year 😶 6y
LeahBergen Oh oh. This sounds like I need it! 6y

saresmoore @batsy I think I will do the same! I STILL haven‘t finished The Makioka Sisters, but it‘s not for lack of loveliness. 6y
batsy @saresmoore I was torn between this and the Alejo Carpentier book you mentioned! But I was thinking since I already own a copy and Tanizaki has been on the TBR for some time... #hardchoices 6y
saresmoore @batsy Such tough choices! I think for some letters (like K), I‘m just going to do two. 😬 That way, if I hate one, I‘ll have a backup? That‘s my excuse, anyway. 6y
batsy @saresmoore That is an excellent plan and why didn't I think of that ✔️ 🤓 6y
