Honestly, I would travel just about anywhere, but London is near the top of my list. There are so many cool things that I'd like to see and experience. Also, I've read a ton of books set in and around London (during various time periods) and I'd love to actually see it.

Easy read. Started off good but I got a little bored with the lack of travel in the middle. More about a relationship than travel. She reflects on a trip that sounds more interesting than the one we are on in the book. For a big traveler she seems to spend a lot of time in the house, not exploring the location. Not what I expected but still an enjoyable short read.

Snapshot of my (sort of eclectic) Goodreads year in books. I read some really good ones in 2026, but I have to get better about reviewing because I am weird about star ratings - I almost never give 5 unless it is life-changing, and I feel guilt giving 2 stars or less (plus I tend to give up in those) so most of my books are stuck in the 3-4 star range! Not helpful, self.

Bostonmomx2 I think you're pretty right on with your rating system, aside from being a little bit more liberal with 5 stars (I had 16/100 this year) I agree. 1-2 starred books aren't worth the energy. That Beth Harbison book was good? I think that's one I considered but the reviews are so mixed I haven't ventured to it yet. 8y
mcipher @Bostonmomx2 Oh that makes me feel better! I should relax on the 5 stars though. 😊Yeah, the shoe addict Xmas novella was not my favorite. I liked the first in the series a lot, the second less, and this one not at all. It felt so cheesy! 8y

This was a typical, predictable romance, but it was cute and I enjoyed it. Nice to read something easy and fluffy once in a while.
