Anthropology of an American Girl
Anthropology of an American Girl: A Novel | Hilary Thayer Hamann
This is what its like to be a high-school-age girl. To forsake the boyfriend you once adored. To meet the love of your life, who just happens to be your teacher. To discover for the first time the power of your body and mind. This is what its like to be a college-age woman. To live through heartbreak. To suffer the consequences of your choices. To depend on others for survival but to have no one to trust but yourself. This is Anthropology of an American Girl. A literary sensation, this extraordinarily candid novel about the experience of growing up female in America will strike a nerve in readers of all ages. I need something good. This book was just so wordy and long. It jumped around and it was boring. I felt like nothing really happened. And I didn't care for any of the characters. Any recommendations of something awesome litsy friends? Im in need of a good book to read next 😃

Cinfhen Sorry you didn't enjoy your read, I found I had a bunch of misses this summer as well😩what type of genre do you generally like? 8y
Victoriahoperose @Cinfhen I like pretty much everything except high fantasy and historical fiction. But I can get into those if it's a really good read. 8y
Cinfhen Hmmm, I just read All The Ugly & Wonderful Things & I really appreciated how "different" this was. I liked The One in a Million Boy, Bull Mountain, The Book of Memory, The Passenger by Lisa Lutz, Heft and All Involved. It's an eclectic list, a bit of everything 8y

For #24in48, a book with a title that could title my life—and also a great novel!

catieohjoy Thinking about this prompt more, Against Everything would also work as a title to my life, tbh... 😂 8y
