Senior citizen services: Midwestern States | 
Every year at Christmas I pick some names off an angel tree in our community. The thing that makes this tree special is that it‘s gifts for senior citizens with not much money. They ask for soap, hand sanitizer, body lotion - things that are hard for them to get on a budget. The best part is throwing in extras like candy, warm gloves, or a cozy blanket. #HappyBday2me #giveaway

britt_brooke This is so sweet. I‘ll have to look into this next year. This year we bought a couple things for a child at my son‘s school. Too many times, we forget about the elderly. 💚 6y
OrangeMooseReads I love that. I also hate that they have to be so strict with a budget they can‘t allow themselves those “luxuries”. I‘m going to have to look around and see if we have something like that in our community for next year. 6y
Kaye Wonderful idea. The elderly so often get forgotten and ignored. Take a look sometime at their grocery carts. They can only afford bare necessities. I think next grocery day I‘m going to pay for their order too. That‘d be a way to help them a bit. 6y
LibrarianRyan I have done this once. My senior wanted a new outfit for church. It was fun, but hard shopping. I asked some other ladies in the store who looked over 70 what they liked. That's awesome that you do this. 6y

[DELETED] 3803335244 How wonderful! I used to volunteer at our care center reading to seniors. It was the companionship more than anything they wanted. Some often had no visitors but myself. Knowing you care is awesome! You are a kind soul! They will feel loved. I need to look into this for next year. Thank you for inspiration & being you! 6y
