In 8th grade, I came across R.L. Stine Fear Street series and to my surprise, my mom bought them for me. I thought she wouldn't because they would be too scary for me. I realize now, she was just happy I was reading again. This series is what really put me into reading and I'm so excited to re-visit them again. #horror #ya #spooky #fearstreet (also please ignore my son's foot in the picture 😄)

Read this and the rest of the trilogy as a teen and absolutely loved it. Many years later I am trying to collect all the series I loved as a teen, the books that made me the reader I am.

Rereading this book I am surprised at how good it is and how well it holds up. Genuinely creepy and affecting at times, Stine does a fantastic job at telling the history of the Fear family - the family and horrors that underpin the Fear Street series.

JuliaTheBookNerd Oh man, I remember reading this trilogy as a tween! I loved it 😊 2y

This series is what turned me into an R.L. Stine fan in elementary school. One of my all time favorite series! 🥰

Literary_Siren @phantomx not yet! It‘s been on my bookshelf for awhile though. Was it good? 4y

Hour 4 of #24b4Monday down and another book completed! Choosing to start with shorter books was a good choice since I feel like I‘ve read more today than I‘ve done all week 😂. Anyway, this was AMAZING and I‘m a little annoyed I didn‘t know about Fear Street as a teen since I was a Goosebumps obsessed kid. Fun fact: looked for the 2nd book in my library‘s system and it said it was due in 1999. #teamstoker @TheReadingMermaid

brit91 I used to love his books when I was in school!!🙂📚 4y

Why not? Dug this out of my new found, old treasure box of childhood books.

AmandaEve I loved the Fear Street series or anything by R.L. Stine. I‘m slowly starting to recollect the Goosebumps series. 5y
ShyBookOwl @AmandaEve I read a couple Goosebumps but always preferred Fear Street. I took them out from all the libraries and bought as many as I could find in thrift shops. I was obsessed. 5y
AmandaEve @ShyBookOwl right! I love a good nostalgic reread ☺️ 5y

Scochrane26 I never read goosebumps, but I have taken many of my childhood books from parents‘ house & re-read several. Still want to re-read Anne of green gables. 5y
ShyBookOwl @Scochrane26 I'm with you. I'm always curious what I'll discover about myself by reading things that I loved as a kid. Those foundational books shape you. 5y

ShyBookOwl @CouronneDhiver oh no! No books were off limits in my house, as long as I didn't complain about nightmares lol I started reading these around 8 or 9 5y

Fun quick read for the Halloween season. I never read any of the Fear Street books growing up only his Goosebumps series. So it's been nice to read some of these. I would have loved these growing up as well. It was at least good enough that I will be grabbing the next book of the series to find out more of what happened to the next generations of the Fier and Goode families.

I decided to read some R.L. Stine this month. I used to absolutely love Goosebumps growing up with my favorite being Creature Teacher. I have never read any of the fear street books though so I thought I'd read a couple of them.

1. Definitely the R.L. Stine Fear Street series.
2. I don‘t think I‘ve actually given up on a series, just put it aside for a while.
3. Shelve it for my children.
4. Nope!

I loved these books as a kid. So, I decided to reread for fun. The writing is dreadful, but it was a nostalgic experience. And it reminded me that I‘ve always loved witchy stories.

I loved the Fear Street books when I was a teen and especially the saga that covers the origin story. So, I decided to get the first one on kindle. Perfect way to spend fall break 🍁🍂

This picture edit literally is a MIND TRIP, especially with the books I have in the photo. R. L. Stine is still one of my favorite authors of all time. While his Goosebumps series got him very famous, I was more of an avid fan of his Fear Street Collection. It's taken me a few years to track down some of the original books from libraries and used book stores. Overall, I'm still in love with this young adult horror series🎃

TheWordJar Fear Street, Christopher Pike, and Lois Duncan...some favorites of my younger self! ☠️ 7y
Amanda23 Loved Fear Street 💀 7y
AmandaRae I actually have a complete set of the Goosebump books I found at the library sale here. They are all brand new and I paid $8. I bought them for my kids to enjoy and I started on my Fear Street collection since they are getting older. 7y

@NovelGirl82 these are the books I was mentioning, it's The Betrayal, The Secret, and the Burning. I know there's another set of companion novels to these but I never read them.

NovelGirl82 Awesome! Thank you!! 7y
