Pickpick

This was the first major crossover after DC‘s line-wide reboot into the New 52 and it was surprisingly solid considering how many plates it had to spin.

It was promoted as the Justice League vs the government sanctioned Justice League of America vs the supernatural Justice League Dark but really all three of these groups fracture into smaller groups that all team up for different reasons.

I knew the big end reveal* going in. Still had fun.

TobeyTheScavengerMonk *Turns out this crossover simply set the stage for the even BIGGER Forever Evil crossover which I‘ll read soon. #LetsGetGraphicWeekLongMarathon 7y

“Pandora will be a big new DC character so she‘s got to be awesome!”

“Yeah! I was thinkin‘ since she‘s an immortal from prehistoric Macedonia she should be Caucasian.”

“Great idea! And for her costume I‘m thinking pink. No other colors. Pink from head to toe.”

“Since she‘s a master of stealth this totally makes sense! What about powers?”

“Nah, just give her some guns and she can shoot stuff.”

“Good work team! Let‘s break for lunch.”

#WTF

TobeyTheScavengerMonk To be fair later on she leveled up and got a much cooler costume that looked like an anime angel. And ever later DC had her disintegrated. #LetsGetGraphicWeeklongMarathon #SpeechBubbleChallenge 7y
Emmadash I usually don't care for DC heroines (other than WW), but the writing has certainly improved since my early comic book allegiance to Marvel-only books. And, yes, the silly costumes for women are also in a nice, upward transition. 7y
readinginthedark 😂That‘s probably exactly how it went! On the bright side, at least she‘s wearing all-weather clothes. But all pink? And guns without silencers? 🙄 7y
