I inadvertently began with book 3 in the series, but I didn‘t realize it until I went to check out the next one.

Three middle aged friends run the Cackleberry Club - a breakfast and lunch cafe with a book nook and a knitting nest (This is a cozy after all 😂) However, the murders are decidedly un-cozy. While prepping for the restaurant‘s big Halloween bash, Suzanne finds herself in the crosshairs as she helps Sheriff Doogie investigate.

Chrissyreadit That sounds like my dream business, with wine, coffee or tea available. 4y
mabell @Chrissyreadit Yes, definitely! Do you knit, too? 4y
Chrissyreadit @mabell I crochet. I knit when I was very young and have no functional skill now 🤣 4y

mabell @Chrissyreadit It‘s like riding a bike! 😄 I haven‘t done much crocheting, but my knitting tub is waiting in the garage - patiently. 😆 It‘s probably been 10 years since I‘ve picked anything up, but I‘ve been thinking about getting it back out lately! 4y
Chrissyreadit @mabell I‘m crocheting scarves right now for my daughter and niece but I want to learn how to read patterns. I do everything in my head. I remember how complicated my mom and grandmas knitting patterns seemed. But there is something amazing and peaceful about it. What‘s on your wishlist to make? 4y
mabell @Chrissyreadit That‘s impressive you can do it in your head! I use patterns. I‘ve done pretty much everything on my wish list - sweaters, lace, socks, etc. I think if I picked it back up I would do more socks. They are more interesting and quicker than a big piece like a sweater (rows and rows of stitches 🤪) I have this book I really like that I‘ll post some from! 4y
Chrissyreadit @mabell thanks!! For sharing! I so want to learn how to make socks!!! (edited) 4y
mabell @Chrissyreadit Socks are so fun to make - and useful! There are some tricky bits to them, but once you get the hang of it, you could do it in your sleep. I‘m excited to dig out this book and post some snippets. It‘s a good one! 4y
