The I Inside
The I Inside | Alan Dean Foster
3 posts | 2 read | 1 to read
For over 100 years, the machine called Colligatarch had ruled the Earth. Its predictions of the future have proved so accurate that humans accepted its recommendations as the best course of action - until a young engineer in Phoenix begins to travel without authorization, enter secret places, assume aliases, and display super-human feats of strength. Is it because he has fallen in love? Or has he instead fallen into an interplanetary plot?

Pickpick

99/150 I think Alan Dean Foster is underrated as a writer, too many think of him as the guy who writes movie adaptations, they don't know he writes really good original science-fiction too. This is part romance and part space opera. Eric Abbot sees Lisa Tambor and falls madly in love, the the world seems to want to keep them apart. RamsFan1963 It's a quick breezy adventure, that takes a lot of wild turns before the satisfying conclusion. 4 ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Before I go, I have to comment on the book cover. It is totally non- representative of the book's content, and looks like something out of a very bad 70s sci-fi TV show. 2y

Andrew65 Looks good, well done 👏👏👏 2y
swynn Agree that Foster is much more than that novelizer guy. I loved the Pip/Flinx series in high school, and have been thinking of revisiting it to catch up 2y

It is not God, Martin Oristano reminded himself for the thousandth time as he approached the machine.

I am posting one book per day from my extensive to-be-read collection. No description or reason for wanting to read the book. Some are old and some will be new. Don't judge me - I have a lot of books.
