I purchased this book from the lovely Stillwater Books in Felixstowe, Suffolk, ðŸ‡¬ðŸ‡§ having read a few Jim Crace novels before. I found this one interesting and I like his style of writing but he has not yet been able to push into my list of favourite writers.
