Mehso-so

I expected to enjoy this classic queer SF/F a lot more than I did. There was something achingly melancholy about the ending, the whole situation, but I felt like much of it was opaque to me: I couldn't tell what characters were thinking, even as it sounded like it was meant to be profound. I don't think I really enjoyed it that much, alas, though I did *appreciate* it.
